This is a new quilt made from vintage fabric on the front, upper side. The fabric is a beautiful vintage floral cotton, not too heavy but with enough weight to give it body. It is lovely bright colours yet has that slightly faded county house look to it. The quilt has been made with a new cotton back cover of pale cream sheeting. The center layer is cotton batting, making it warm but not heavy. The three layers have been lightly quilted in vertical lines to keep the whole together and not allow the filling to bunch up when used or washed. The layers are bound together with raspberry coloured cotton binding. It is almost square and sits nicely on a double bed. It will wash in a modern machine at 40, but prob shouldn’t be tumble dried. Due to its nature this is a one off item.
The quilt measures 168cm x 169cm
